Troubleshooting Guide

DENAS PCM 6 and Denas PCM Pro

1. The device will not power on.

Cause: Depleted batteries or incorrect battery polarity.

Solution: Open the back compartment and ensure two fresh AA batteries are installed, matching the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols correctly.

2. The "Contact" indicator flashes and therapy won't start.

Cause: The device is not detecting the skin. This usually happens if the skin is too dry.

Solution: Lightly moisten the treatment area with a damp cloth or water. Alternatively, you can enable "Therapy without contact control" in the device settings for dry treatments.

3. Stimulation feels too weak, even at maximum power.

Cause: High skin resistance or dehydration.

Solution: The device operates on microcurrents. Drink a glass of water before the session and ensure the skin is slightly damp. Do not use oils or heavy lotions, as they block conductivity.

4. The screen goes blank during a session.

Cause: The device's energy-saving mode has activated, or the session timer has finished.

Solution: Press any button to wake up the screen. If the session has ended, navigate back to the menu to start a new program.

5. The device freezes and buttons are unresponsive.

Cause: A rare firmware glitch.

Solution: Perform a hard reset by opening the battery compartment, removing the batteries for 10 seconds, and reinserting them.

6. The device emits a continuous beeping sound.

Cause: A low battery warning or an alert that contact with the skin was suddenly lost during an active program.

Solution: Check the battery level indicator on the screen. If batteries are fine, ensure the built-in electrodes are flush against the skin.

7. The menu is in the wrong language and I cannot change it.

Cause: Accidental navigation into the language sub-menu.

Solution: From the main menu, navigate to "Settings" (Настройки - the gear icon), select the first option "Language" (Язык), and choose English.

8. The power level will not increase past a low number.

Cause: "Children's Doctor" mode is turned on, which safely caps the power output for pediatric use.

Solution: Go to the main menu, select "Children's Doctor," and switch the function to OFF.

DENAS Applicators (External Pads)

9. The device shows a "No Contact" error when using applicators.

Cause: The cable is not fully inserted into the device port, or the applicator pad is not fully touching the skin.

Solution: Push the connection plug firmly into the bottom port of the PCM 6 until it clicks. Ensure the applicator is strapped securely to the body.

10. Stimulation is intermittent or cuts out when moving.

Cause: A potential internal wire break in the connection cable due to bending or pulling.

Solution: The cables are consumable items. If the connection drops when the wire is wiggled, the connecting cable needs to be replaced. Always unplug the cable by pulling the rigid plug, not the wire.

11. Uneven sensation across the applicator pad.

Cause: The pad is not making uniform contact with the body's natural contours.

Solution: Adjust the velcro strapping. The conductive material requires even, firm pressure across its entire surface to distribute the current correctly.

12. One applicator pad works, but the other does not.

Cause: A faulty connection at the cable splitter.

Solution: Inspect the split ends of the cable where they attach to the pads. Re-seat the connections firmly. If the issue persists, the cable requires replacement.

DENAS Glasses (DENS-Glasses)

13. The glasses cause a painful "stinging" sensation.

Cause: The intensity (Power) is set too high. The skin around the eyes is significantly more sensitive than the rest of the body.

Solution: Always start with the power set to 1 unit. For the paraorbital zone (around the eyes), the power should rarely exceed 3 to 5 units.

14. The glasses do not fit securely or sit unevenly.

Cause: The adjustable head strap is improperly sized.

Solution: Before turning the device on, adjust the velcro strap so all the metal electrodes on the inside of the glasses rest gently and evenly against the skin around the eyes.

15. The main device does not recognize the glasses.

Cause: The connection plug is loose or inserted incorrectly.

Solution: Ensure the plug is inserted into the external port of the PCM 6 completely. If the device still does not detect them, slightly moisten the skin under the electrodes to establish the initial electrical circuit.
